Installation of 24" one person hammock

  1. Determine the location of the hammock. It is recommended that you put the 24" Hammock in the middle and parallel too but not overlapping a lounge seat if you have one. After finding the location, mark the centerline of the hammock (Fig.2) on the edge of the tub.
  2. Locate the best spot to attach the anchor hooks (14). Then decide if that spot is structurally sound. If not, reinforce with backing (like plywood.) Make sure there are no wires or plumbing behind the anchor points then choose the screw length that fits the best (1" or 1-1/2".) Anchor two of the hooks 21" - 23" apart on center. Or measuring from your centerline mark, measure out 10-1/2" to 11-1/2" each side of your centerline mark. Repeat this on the opposite side of tub. Use the twelve screws you choose, and then discard the remaining twelve.
  3. Install one of the white PVC spreader bar and pillow support (32) in one end of the hammock by weaving it through the net. Then insert the strap (18) into the slot on both ends. This will be the head end or pillow end. At the foot end leave the PVC out and use the hammock without it. This allows the net to relax more for your feet and legs to hang out Then to stretch the hammock tight you can put the other PVC in to help spread the hammock tight and suspend you at the surface.
  4. Now you are ready to hook your hammock to the hooks. Make sure you have it right side up so that the adjustment tabs (22) are up. Adjust loop strap (20) for proper length so the buckle (22) is easily reached for adjustment when using the hammock.

Installation of 48" two person hammock

  1. Determine the location of the hammock. It is recommended that you put the 48" hammock in the center or off to one side but not overlapping a lounge seat if you have one Or if you already have a 24" hammock you will use the outside set of hooks from that, and there for you will only need two more hooks. After finding the location, mark the centerline of the hammock (Fig 2) on the edge of the tub.
  2. Locate the best spot to attach the anchor hooks (14). Then decide if that spot is structurally sound If not, reinforce with backing (like plywood.) Make sure there are no wires or plumbing behind the anchor points then choose the screw length that fits the best (1" or 1-1/2".) Anchor two of the hooks 46" - 48" apart on center Or measuring from your center line mark, measure out 23" to 24" each side of your center line mark. Repeat this on the opposite side of the tub Use the twelve screws you choose then discard the remaining twelve.
  3. Install one of the white PVC spreader bar and pill support (32) in one end of the hammock by weaving it through the net. Then insert the strap (18) into the slot on both ends. This will be the head end or pillow end. At the foot end leave the PVC out and use the hammock without it. This allows the net to relax more for your feet and legs to hang out. Then to stretch the hammock tight you can put the other PVC in to help spread the hammock tighter and suspend you at the surface.
  4. Now you are ready to hook your hammock to the hooks. Make sure you have it right side up so that the adjustment tabs (22) are up. Adjust loop strap (20) for proper length so the buckle (22) is easily reached for adjustment when using the hammock.
