the Spa Frog
Now There's a Better Way! Transform Your Spa with minerals to make a difference you can see and feel.
Spa Frog is all about a better way to care for water with minerals that reduce chemical use. With minerals helping to control bacteria, you can reduce bromine or chlorine use by up to 50% - 80%, which results in softer water with an added shine. The best news is that Spa Frog is compatible with most products on the market, including bromine, chlorine, non-chlorine shocks and ozone.
Fitting in the filter core, filter well or skimmer tray, the unique design of the Spa Frog draws water in through the openings in the cap and the scooped louvers at the top and circulates it through the mineral formula for greatest effectiveness. Water is then released through the bottom openings. Simply supplement with a low level of bromine or chlorine. The Spa Frog lasts 4 months, and has an easy reminder dial to help you remember when to replace it. Handles spas up to 1,000 gallons and lasts up to 4 months. Extensive information on the Spa Frog is available HERE. If you're looking for the Complete Spa Frog Floating System, please see here.

Q: Why use SPA FROG Minerals in your spa?
A: Minerals help eliminate bacteria so less chlorine or bromine is needed to keep the spa clean. Minerals actually condition the water for a softer feel and help maintain a crystal clear look. They also help to neutralize pH. Simply supplement with 1 - 2 ppm bromine or 0.5 - 1 ppm chlorine. Works great with ozonators, too!
Q: How long does SPA FROG last?
A: SPA FROGwill stay active for up to 4 months. After that time it will need to be replaced. Once wetted, the minerals will not remain active for longer than four months. Use the reminder dial on SPA FROG to help you remember when to replace.
Q: Can I use SPA FROG alone or do I need another form of chlorination?
A:SPA FROG is to be used with a small amount of chlorine (0.5 - 1 ppm) or bromine (1 - 2 ppm). SPA FROG also works with ozonators.
Q: Can I use SPA FROG with potassium monopersulfate only?
A: No. This can create an unsafe spa as there is no EPA approved sanitizer residual in the spa. A spa with SPA FROG should maintain a 0.5 - 1 ppm of chlorine or 1 - 2 ppm bromine.
Q: Do I still need to shock my spa if I'm using SPA FROG?
A: Yes. Shock when needed (if the water looks cloudy or before a party) or shock once per week to keep it simple.
Q: If SPA FROG is too long for my filter, can I still use it?
A: Yes. You have several options. One is to cut the rod at the hash marks to shorten. You can also use spa frog in the filter well / skimmer tray.
For a total spa sanitizing system see the Spa Frog Complete System which combines the Spa Frog mineral cartridge with a disposable bromine cartridge into a total floating spa sanitizing system.
