SPA SECRET is a completely safe non-toxic water treatment. When used as directed (see below) it will provide you with the crystal clear, clean and healthy water that you have always dreamed of. Spa Secret is an easy to use gel made of purifying water conditioners which will not only leave your skin feeling soft and clean, but will also clean your spa surfaces and equipment of the scum and scale that build up over time. Spa Secret is compatible with bromine, chlorine, ozone and potassium monopersulfate (renew).

Spa Secret- Instructions for usage

You must start with fresh water when using Spa Secret, but before you drain out your old water, you will want to heavily dose your existing water with Spa Secret in order to fully clean out any debris that has built up in your check plumbing pipes over the years. You will only have to do this procedure once, not every time you drain and fill your spa. Don't worry, it will be worth it!

Start up

Starting with a clean, function filter is essential. First remove your spa filter soak it in a filter cleaning solution. Do not put it back yet! Apply approximately 1 tablespoon of Spa Secret directly to spa water. Do not worry if it does not dissolve right away, it won't. It will totally dissolve in a few minutes. Let spa run for approximately 60 minutes on low speed and 60 minutes on high speed. If you're spa has a separate booster pump or jet pump, make sure you circulate through that system has well. The shore you also turn on any whirlpool jets or hot seat jets. Once this is completed, turn on your air blower for 10 minutes. Turn it off for five minutes and then run it for another 10 minutes. This will allow Spa Secret into your air war channel also. You want to make sure that Spa Secret has fully circulated through all the pipes in the spa. This will ensure that all your pipes are sparkling clean. If you're spa is 4 to 5 or more years old, follow the above procedure, only let the spa run for 12 to 24 hours to completely cleanse the plumbing and fixtures of buildup which has accumulated over time. You will end up with a spa as clean as new.

Spa Water Set Up

Drain out the spa. Clean spa shell with Spa Secret by diluting out 1 tablespoon of product in a small bucket of water. It cleans exceptionally well when used with a hot tub scrubber brush or sponge. DO NOT USE ANY OTHER CLEANING PRODUCTS ON SPA SURFACES UNLESS PRODUCT IS LISTED TO BE COMPATABLE WITH SPA SECRET, AS FOAMING MAY OCCUR. Put your filter cartridge back in.

Fill with fresh water (it is recommended that you drain & refill spa every 2 months). Test water for pH and total alkalinity with a test kit or test strips. If necessary, adjust levels using standard balancing chemicals (Spa Up, Spa Down). PH can be between 7.4 and 7.8, and total alkalinity can be between 80 - 150. Remember, as long as your water is with in these wide ranges, Spa Secret will take over and adjust/lock the pH and alkalinity levels. You will not have to manually adjust these levels again until your next 'drain and fill' (approximately 2 months, depending on use).

Weekly Dosage

Now the easy part. Add Spa Secret to the water. One teaspoon (not tablespoon) will treat up to 300 gallons of water (average spa size) for about one week under normal bather load and water temperature. If your spa is smaller (under 7') you can probably add less, but again this will very greatly depending on how often you use the tub.

There is no chemical danger to over dosing the spa with Spa Secret. If you add too much by mistake, the water may get foamy. If this happens try adding a small amount of Spa Foam Down . If the foam persists, simply drain and replace some of the spa water, and decrease your Spa Secret dosage. After a week or so, you will find just the right amount for the way you use your spa. When using Spa Secret, your water should always smell fresh. Upon initial fill up, if you experience an odor after using Spa Secret, you may have applied too much or your filter and/or jet pump may have been excessively dirty. If this happens, let tub run for 30 minutes on low speed, drain and repeat Spa Water Set Up.

Before Each Use

One tablespoon of potassium monopersulfate (renew) per 300 gallons, should be applied before each use (alternately you may substitute 1/3 teaspoon of sodium dichlor chlorine or sodium bromide granular bromine).You should not have to add any other chemicals to the water while Spa Secret is in the tub. Do not attempt to manually adjust the pH or alkalinity on a weekly basis. After e few weeks if the water develops a stale or foul odor or becomes cloudy, simply add a little more Spa Secret, circulate water on low speed for about thirty minutes, and the water will clear up and become fresh smelling again!
