I took a water sample to my dealer this morning, and they ran it though their computerized tester. I also took my Accuchek Digital tester and tested the same sample of water. The results were almost exactly the same. I'm very happy with this tester!
I played with the tester for about a week and found it very simple to use. Just turn it on, dip a strip, put the strip on the meter and press one button for the results.
Yesterday I went to my dealer to have them test my water. I brought the digital meter with me to compare readings on the same sample. Here are the results:
PH - Dealer = 7.2 Aquacheck TruTest = 7.3
Free Chlorine - Dealer = 1.8 Aquacheck TruTest = 1.7
Alkalinity - Dealer = 70 Aquacheck TruTest = 64
Looks to be pretty darn accurate.
This is by far the most impressive and easiest way to test my spa! Turn on the reader, dip a test strip, place it in the reader and in about 10 seconds you have the reading. No colors to try and evaluate, the digital readout says it all. I also like how it remembers the last 9 tests, letting me see a little history of my spa water.
