MouseAway

I have been using MouseAway. I've had a real problem with field mice. In the past four years, I have replaced the wiring in my heater three times, cleaned out about 7 mouse houses and gotten rid of I don't know how many mice. I tried Mouse Away this year. Well, the mice got back in, but, they did not stay. According to the directions, you are to hang the pouch. I did. I found it lying done in the bottom of the heater torn open. I called the manufacturer to complain about it not working. It was explained to me that in fact it was. The mice do not like the smell, so they try to get rid of it by digging into the pouch. The more they dig, the more odor that comes out. This is part of the design. I can believe this because when I opened the heater I found one dead baby mouse in area where the mom made her home. I got rid of the dead mouse and cleaned out the heater and have not had a problem since. The odor is a strong pepperminty smell. If I was that close to it I would not want to be there.

Just my experience

Two weeks ago I put Mouse Away in the motor compartment of my spa. I was sure to clean out all previous droppings. I checked today and all is well. No signs of activity. But the real test will be when the weather gets cooler and they are looking for a winter home! It says to replace when strong odor is gone. Nice peppermint smell to me. I am hoping to get 2-3 months per bag. I will keep you posted.
