The Extreme

We offer three choices of insulating covers, differing by insulating ability and size. This page is for the Extreme Spa Cover, a 1 pound density, 6" to 4" tapered foam with an R-21 insulating factor. The maximum size of this cover is 8' (96").

For spas over 8' (up to 9') in length, we also offer the Extreme Stretch Spa Cover HERE. For the "Deluxe Spa Cover" (also a maximum of 96"), of 1.5 pound density foam, tapered from 4" to 2" insulating to R-14, please click here.

There are lots of shapes and options (and a couple of special offers about half way down the page). Find your shape below and choose the options you want. If the shape you need isn't here, we probably have a template to make your cover from. Please feel free to call us if necessary. Please note, these covers are made to your specification and measurements, we can not be responsible for miss-measured covers.

In order to assure a proper fitting cover please carefully measure your spa and fill in the following form. All measurements must be in inches. Please note; these covers are made to YOUR specifications, and we can not take responsibility for miss-measurements!

Step 1. From the picture below choose the shape of your cover.

NOTE: Some spas, such as Hot Springs (with curved sides) do not fit any of the choices shown. We have templates for many spas. Call us. We will need to know the brand, model, and year of manufacture.

Step 2. Fill in the measurements X and Y, in inches, that corresponds to that shape. Please use only whole inches. Covers with measurements 96" or less are $359.95 including delivery. If over 96" please call for pricing.

Step 3. Choose the shape of your cover's corners.

Fill in the dimension Z of the radius, OR the length of the cut corner in inches, as pictured, above ( hint: if the number you give is larger than the correct dimension the cover may not properly fit. If in doubt make the radius or cut corner a little smaller and the cover should fit ok ). If the corners of your cover are square please enter 0 (zero).

Step 5.. From the picture below, covers generally have a "skirt" of fabric hanging down the side to cover and protect the edge of your spa (some spas that are flush to a deck may require no skirt, if so choose none), please select that measurement below.

Step 6. These covers come standard with 4 latching straps that are 8" long (see picture below). If you prefer, you may enter your choice for a different length. Additional straps, and the precise location is also possible, but requires ordering by phone.

Due to the fact that delivering a cover to a residence costs us more than delivering to a business (we, pay the shipping remember), if we can ship your cover to you at a business we will throw in "Double Wrapped Foam Cores" (see below for a description) at no additional charge.

CONDITIONS

Does your friend, neighbor, relative or coworker also need a new cover? Order 2 covers and have them shipped to the SAME address, and we'll take $50.00 off the total price. If you have them shipped to a business address, we'll include the "Double Wrapped Foam Cores" (description below) on both of them. The covers don't have to be the same shape or size, but if you choose different options for them, you'll need to call us, or explain which cover gets which option in the comments field of the final order form.

Double Wrapped Foam Cores

The main defense of the cover's core absorbing water is the vapor barrier surrounding the foam. Double wrapping the foam cores (adding a second sealed 6 mil vapor barrier) can double the life span of a cover.

Reflex Energy Shield

Adding the optional Reflex Energy Shield base material on bottom of your spa cover will greatly increase the covers insulating ability. The reflective ability of the Reflex Energy Shield reflects radiant heat back down to the spa.

Higher Density 1.5# Foam Cores

Upgrading from the 1# density foam to a 1.5# density foam will make your cover almost 50% stronger. This is recommended for areas where sigificant amounts of snow (pets and children) regularly accumulate on the cover. Because of the strain of the additional weight of this cover, the "Reinforced Hinge" option below is included with this option.

Reinforced Hinge

Additionally reinforce the hinge by adding an extra layer consisting of the same 1-1/2" wide nylon webbing the handles are made from. This upgrade consists of a strip of nylon webbing running the entire length of the hinge and provides exceptional strength!

Floating Thermal Blanket Special

Designed to float on the water's surface, the floating spa blanket is lightweight and durable. It protects and extends the life of your spa insulating cover while significantly reducing heat loss and chemical evaporation/consumption. Light gray in color and made of ¼" thick closed-cell polyethylene foam, these blankets are easily cut to size, and much more resistant to "bunching up" than the bubble blankets. Blankets over 5' wide consist of two pieces of foam "welded" together.
