303 Aerospace Protectant |
Don't let the weather ruin your spa cover! Guard it from damage with 303 Protectant, the unique product originally developed for the aerospace industry. It bonds deep into vinyl, fiberglass, and acrylic surfaces to block the sun's UV rays and guard against ozone damage, cracking and fading. Outlasts the leading brand of vinyl treatment by 4-10 times, yet contains no harmful silicone oils or petroleum distillates. Did you know that silicone oil (main ingredient of a famous brand) actually degrades vinyl? Protect and restore your spa cover and shell with 303. It will last years longer! Great for vinyl, rubber, fiberglass, tires, plastic, leather. Outperforms waxes on spa shells too! Earth-friendly, non-toxic, non-flammable and biodegradable.

Without help, even the highest quality marine vinyl cannot long endure the conditions encountered by many spa covers. Though marine-quality vinyl is manufactured with additional UV protective agents, each day of exposure reduces the effectiveness of these agents. Using the wrong vinyl treatment is worse the using no vinyl treatment product at all!!
Developed for aerospace and aviation applications, 303 Protectant is a beautifying liquid sunscreen which can reduce UV caused slow-fade up to 100%! Routine use of 303 Protectant keeps vinyl looking like new, reduces UV damage and maintains a like-new color, while dramatically extending its useful life. 303 Protectant contains no petrochemicals, silicone oils, waxes or petroleum distillates. 303 Protectant is not a build-up product. 303 Protectant is not greasy and does not attract dust. In fact, 303 Protectant leaves a like-new, non oily, anti-static finish that actually repells dust! 303 Protectant is also non-hazardous and biodegradable.
Dozens of spa cover manufacturers recommend 303 Protectantt for its beautiful finish and powerful UV protective qualities.
Most vinyl "protectants" contain silicone oils, petroleum distillates or other agents which damage vinyl and which vinyl manufacturers recommend AGAINST!
1. "Leading Brand" protectant products contain silicone oils giving them their oily, greasy, dirt attracting nature. Some even contain petroleum distillates (petrochemicals)!....which should never be used on vinyl. 303 Protectant does not contain silicone oils, petroleum distillates, or any other unsafe agents.
2. "Leading Brand" protectants do not contain UV stabilizers. UV stabilizers counteract or neutralize the harmful effects of UV Light. They help prevent chalking, yellowing, fading, embrittlement of the surface they are protecting. 303 Protectant contains UV stabilizers and is the most powerful UV screening product available. Periodic reapplications can reduce UV caused slow fade up to 100%.
3. Other protectant products, including the "leading brands" are oily, greasy, attract dust/dirt, are very short-lived and only offer cosmetic properties that wash off instantly. 303 Protectant is not oily and greasy, will repel dust & soiling, leaves a rich and lustrous finish, will not wash off and lasts up to 10 times longer than any other `surface treatments'.

An enlarged side view of vinyl would show raw PVC (polyvinyl chloride) covered by a
thin layer of plastic called the "topcoat". The topcoat is the part of the vinyl
that you can see and touch. To keep vinyl fabric soft and flexible, manufacturers add
agents known as plasticizers to the raw PVC. A major function of the topcoat is to hold in
the plasticizers, which otherwise would quickly evaporate. If the topcoat is damaged or
degraded, plasticizers begin to escape leading to embrittlement and cracking. Protecting the topcoat, then, is the most crucial aspect of properly maintaining vinyl! |
Virtually all vinyl manufacturers agree that no type of oil should be used on vinyl. Silicone oil vinyl treatments should not be used for several reasons; 1) Silicone oil formulations typically attack the vinyl topcoat, 2) Silicone oil formulations usually contain no effective UV screening ingredients, 3) Silicone oil formulations are build-up products which accelerate heat damage, 4) Silicone oil formulations are greasy and oily, attract dust, and soil more quickly. READ THE LABEL! Product directions suggesting more than one coat for better cosmetic enhancement are build-up products and are recommended against by vinyl manufacturers.
