Imagine the feeling of sparkling water caressing your skin with soft touches of warmth. Or the feel of stress melting away in the luxury of pure, fresh, invigorating  water. Well, don't imagine anymore. With Spa Frog, your spa will have the feel of a natural hot spring in the Rocky Mountains cascading water over your tired limbs and soothing your muscles. Spa Frog's minerals naturally purify your spa for a difference you can feel.

SpaFrog Spells Pure Relaxation

Spa Frog knows that your number one priority is relaxation. Its unique blend of minerals work together to make your water softer, safer and sparkling clear. To keep you relaxing, Spa Frog works on eliminating bacteria and preventing algae growth while it also helps to neutralize low pH. For four full months, the Spa Frog works inside your filter cartridge with no electricity and no hassles. It even has an easy-to-set dial as a reminder to replace it.

Now There's A Better Way

Spa Frog is all about a new way to purify water with a natural approach that reduces chemical use. The best news is that Spa Frog is compatible with most products on the market, including bromine, chlorine and non-chlorine shocks. With just a smidgen of chemical support, your spa care is complete with no bleached swimming suits, skin irritation or smelly fumes. Spa Frog works great with ozonators too!

How it works

The unique design draws water in through the openings in the cap and the scooped louvers at the top, then circulates it over and through our non-stain mineral formula for greatest effectiveness. Water is then released through the bottom openings where it returns to the spa pure and clean

Spa Frog FAQ

Q: Why use SPA FROG Minerals in your spa?
A: Minerals help eliminate bacteria so less chlorine or bromine is needed to keep the spa clean. Minerals actually condition the water for a softer feel and help maintain a crystal clear look. They also help to neutralize pH. Simply supplement with 1 - 2 ppm bromine or 0.5 - 1 ppm chlorine. Works great with ozonators, too!

Q: How long does SPA FROG last?
A: SPA FROG
will stay active for up to 4 months. After that time it will need to be replaced. Once wetted, the minerals will not remain active for longer than four months. Use the reminder dial on SPA FROG to help you remember when to replace.

Q: Can I use SPA FROG alone or do I need another form of chlorination?
A:SPA FROG
is to be used with a small amount of chlorine (0.5 - 1 ppm) or bromine (1 - 2 ppm). SPA FROG also works with ozonators.

Q: Can I use SPA FROG with potassium monopersulfate only?
A:
No. This can create an unsafe spa as there is no EPA approved sanitizer residual in the spa. A spa with SPA FROG should maintain a 0.5 - 1 ppm of chlorine or 1 - 2 ppm bromine.

Q: Do I still need to shock my spa if I'm using SPA FROG?
A:
Yes. Shock when needed (if the water looks cloudy or before a party) or shock once per week to keep it simple.

Q: If SPA FROG is too long for my filter, can I still use it?
A:
Yes. You have several options. One is to cut the rod at the hash marks to shorten. You can also use spa frog in the filter well / skimmer tray.

Installing Spa Frog

  • Use 1 or 2 attachment rod(s) as needed on the end of SPA FROG (see diagram A) to keep the unit towards the middle of the cartridge (see diagram C). NOTE: These rods do not come apart once attached. If unit is too high, cut rod(s) at the hash marks to shorten.
  • Set reminder dial on SPA FROG to 4 months from month of installation.  Turn dial with a coin.
  • Place SPA FROG with attachment rods inside the filter cartridge core (see diagram B). If SPA FROG is placed inside a stand pipe, attach a string to the Frog head handle for easy retrieval (see Diagram C).
  • IMPORTANT NOTE: Do not allow SPA FROG to sit at the bottom of the filter where it will block water flow. Always use the attachment rods.
