Quick FAQ

- American Pie 2 : The very last credit to show is a special thanks to Roberts Hot Tubs. Rather ammussing, since every scene showing our hot tub wound up on the cutting rom floor. But, they were kind enough to send some nice behind-the-scenes photos, with hot tub and cast.

- Boomtown : Season 1, episode 6, "The Freak" : Ya gotta love show-biz. Watching the show, our hot tub looked FANTASTIC. But then the frame by frame, looking for some great pictures. WOW, the things you just don't notice in the under 2 minutes of air time. The hot tub is sitting in a gravel covered driveway, complete with astro-turf covered deck and potted palm trees. The bench was installed probably 8" too high. And in one frame (not shown below) you can actually see the orange extension cord running over to power the hot tub... Which by the way, according to the actors, was not heated and ICE COLD.

- ATT commercial : Rather amusing... A production company calls, they're filming a commercial and need a hot tub, that they want to fill with MUD. They insist on renting it...like we'll want it back??? Rental cost was equal to the purchase price. 3 days later they decided to change the shoot location by 1000 miles! They decided they needed to purchase the tub after all. We added $1 to their prepaid rental cost for the sale.

- Rock Star INXS : Hosted by Dave Navarro and Brooke Burke, this CBS reality show searched for a lead singer for the band, INXS. Ok, so it's unlikely anyone will remember this, even more unlikikely our hot tub will be remembered. Heck, we never did notice our hot tub on the show (not that we watched much). We did though get this one production shot. You can almost even see the hot tub.

- Weekend Handyman on the DIY network : When the DIY network planed their season finale of of The Weekend Handyman, they want to go out with a bang, and do the largest project they had yet to do. We were honored with an invitation to have them install one of our wooden hot tubs. Read the story of how the hot tub was installed (with pictures) here.

- Sunset Magazine Tahoe Lake Tahoe Idea House : Located just outside the railroad town of Truckee, Sunset Magazine, in a joint venture with Tahoe Mountain Resorts, created a 2007 Idea House that celebrates Lake Tahoe's historic lodges, barns, and mountain vistas. One of the key features is an outdoor tub next to a two-sided fireplace. The "outdoor tub" is an ofuro provided by Roberts Hot Tubs. You can read the article here.

- Seattle Homes Magazine : Grace Boyd moved into her West Seattle craftsman home, with a Puget Sound view, in 1976. The view remains important to her, but keeping up her fixer-upper became a chore. Grace's favorite piece in the house is a traditional Hinoki Japanese soaking tub in the third-floor master bath that nods to Grace's heritage. Read the entire article here.
