Unfortunately at this time we are out of stock of jarrah. We insist that all of the products we manufacture be of the absolute highest quality and over the last few years the quality of jarrah we have been receiving has been on the decline. We had to reject and return over 90% of our last delivery. We are currently in discussions with our Australian representatives and hope to have this resolved sometime in the near future. Because this wood is specially milled and dried specifically for us, once we reach resolution, it will be another 3 to 6 months before we begin receiving shipments of jarrah again. Besides being the finest wood available for hot tubs, jarrah is one of the most durable and "ecologically correct" hardwoods in the world being logged today. Jarrah is highly resistant to termites, bug infestation and fungus making it the ideal wood for hot tubs. A spectacular lumber with warm rich colors (dark reddish brown), remarkable durability and extreme density (it's VERY hard), jarrah has been the wood of the finest furniture throughout Europe for years (hot tubs for over 25 years). Jarrah is a unique species of eucalyptus grown only in Western Australia. The 5+ million acre forest is owned by the government and closely managed by 'The Department of Conservation and Land Management'. All logging is done selectively with no areas being clear cut and once an area has been logged it is left alone for a minimum of 100 years to regenerate. Jarrah without a doubt is the finest wood for making a hot tub. Besides having the greatest resistance to rot, it is extremely chemical resistant. In commercial hot tub applications jarrah hot tubs last 4 time as long as redwood and cedar, and twice as long as teak. Our jarrah tubs are individually crafted from the finest jarrah available. Only completely clear (totally free of knots) wood with the straightest of grain is used. The hot tubs come 'knocked down' and are easily shipped, and installed in any location by following our simple step by step assembly instructions and plumbing schematic. As far as assembling the tub, most do it yourselfers can easily put them together in 1 to 2 hours (the complete system takes a bit longer). Our hot tubs are available in a wide variety of sizes (and prices). The complete systems contain virtually everything necessary to put you into bubbling hot water (except for the water). |
