Prodigy / 2003
In Response To: Hot Springs Spas ()

I have a 2003 Hot Springs Prodigy. Enjoy the tub, suits my needs BUT I have had troubles. Bottom deck was dropping down. Dealership (Leisure Lifestyles, Columbus, GA) repaired but Wadkins tried to say it wasn't under warranty, but dealer had already received approval for repairs. Also have had to REPLACE 1) control panel, 2) circulation pump all in first yr or so. I asked for replacement hot tub as I believed I had a LEMON. The jets control valve is tough to turn - say it's not under warranty (while warranty was still in effect). Circulation pump started making noise again while still under warranty (toward end of warranty) and dealer says they will replace, I pay, they send pump to Wadkins and if they warranty it I would get my money back. They seem to want to blame chemical balance for the problem yet my water stays in balance. Say if deposits are found in circulation pump it won't be covered by warranty. I complained to everyone I could in the first yrs. As stated, I like the characteristics of this spa but would I replace with another - - I DON"T KNOW. Could be a tough decision to not try a manufacturer as I think Wadkins has gotten slack with product reliability and warranty and most of all customer service.
