Pat, I have been going through the same problems and after spending $1300 on repairs I'm going to experiment with my rifle to see if a bullet will go clear through it when full. I been told that once the tub fails the repairmen use salvaged parts or factory seconds. sucks. I will not buy another tub, am going to build a sauna.: I dreamt about a spa for my deck ever since the home was finished. using
: some inheritance money, I bought the spa and enjoyed it year round. I
: have lower back problems so it really helped out there. earlier this
: year, I noticed falling water levels and some wetness at the spa
: base. as the deck is subject to weather on the deck, I at first
: assumed it was seasonal water but soon discovered it was coming from
: the spa. I called the local dealer from whom i purchased the spa and
: they eventually came out but gave me no specifics and when they did
: set a time to come out, they never showed up and I missed a day of
: work and the income that goes with it. They finally came and agreed
: that it was leaking but when they returned to take the spa in for
: service, we discovered that a nest of carpenter ants had taken up
: residence in the spa. the company at first refused warantee coverage
: even though there was no proof-and to this day still isn't-that the
: ants had caused the leak. After I threatened legal action, they
: decided to repair the spa and I agreed to pay what I thought was more
: than a fair amount to the local dealer. A few months later they
: returned with the spa and after filling it and starting it up, I
: found that there was a major leak around one of the controls and that
: the ozone generator/pump wasn't making any bubbles. they returned-I
: missed another day's work-and fixed the valve and supposedly the
: pump. A week later, the pump failed again and they then assured me
: they would do anything to get it working for me including installing
: a new pump. I was at work when they came back to fix it and it worked
: fine for about 4 or 5 weeks until we heard a thud-thud-thud sound
: coming from the spa. I shut it down immediatedly and called them
: again. they came unnanounced a bout 10 days later while i was at work
: and when i returned home, found a bill for almost 300 bucks for...a
: new pump. I called and asked why a new pump needed to be installed
: when they had just put a new one in. they said it had failed because
: the ph had been too low and had ruined the pump. This is all BS
: because the ph had always been fine. Now, three or four weeks since
: the last episode, the pump has again failed and I have a large
: expensive tub of cold water on my porch and am currently waiting for
: them to come out again. I will keep this site updated as to whatever
: happens. I hope no one else has to go through this. Would I buy
: another spa of this brand? Not a chance!
