Optima/2010
I purchased this hot tub because of all the positive reviews but in two weeks of owning this thing I have spent more time taking the panels off to fix poor connections then being in it to soak away my stress. The first problem happened after the third day of use. These tubs come with computer ribbon cable for all the electronics. It seems moisture gets into the connectors and dont make good contact causing the touch pad not to work. This might not seem like a big deal but its not much fun having to unscrew the panel and fix the connection every other time you want to use it.
The second problem is with the optional IntelliSound Stereo System w/ Docking Station for iPod. It worked great and it is a nice feature but guess what after two weeks the CD player and USB port will not play any music. Not sure about the iPod as I don't own one. It comes with four JBL Speakers but the other day only three were working.
Well after a call to the dealer he sent his tech guy out to the house (19 miles away) and he informed me if he had to come back out I would be charge milage. What a joke. Comes out and makes me feel like I just woke him up and why would I have called him. He did nothing different than I was doing. Said he didn't have spare parts for the IntelliSound Stereo System but when they came in he would be back out to fix it, reminding me that there is a charge for the service call. (reasonable
repairman travel mileage charges.)
So far the sundance experiance has been nothing but stress full.
