Re: Elite Spas by MAAX

Ours is a 3-person spa, Model 4000 by MAAX. Got it from Wholesale Hottubs on Memorial Avenue in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Too soon to say how long it's going to last or to list any problems since we just got it installed last night 1-27-10. But for a beginning review I have only good to say about it. It is the most fantastic spa I've been in. None of my family gets all in at the same time so it is plenty big. The seats were wider and more comfortable than the 5-person spas I tried from other vendors. Got a total of 34 jets and air bubble things on it. Hits every area perfect, especially the shoulder unit on one of the seats. Pressures from them are all adjustable. Last night I slept almost pain free in my shoulders for the first time in 2 years without pain medication. We had them put in a color LED light instead of the plain white light. Tub has a white interior so really reflects the colored lights nice. Has 3 different colors you can have it on or have it click through the 3 continuously. No glaring LED's shining in your eyes from above the water like some models. Heater works perfect. Originally had a 5 person tub for 16 years that was a 110 electrical size so had to pay an electrician $675.00 to get the 220 hooked up. He was suggested by the business and boy he really did know his stuff. No wonder they use him a lot. A good old boy that loves his job and knows his stuff so even that was an interesting learning experience. Will have him back to do more on the house.
Tub is located inside an enclosed patio connected to the dining room with a sliding door. Open the windows to help dissipate the moisture but was out there a little bit ago with an ice storm dumping ice down on the outside and I was warm and cozy in the tub and didn't have to step out into the ice to get back into the house so that makes it even more enjoyable. It's not a heated or insulated room so stays cold but protected from the weather. I hope I never have to write back with any complaints on this tub. The size of it just fit through our fence gate and our sliding doors to get into the room also so no problems there. One more thing great about this tub was the cover we got for it. It fits it perfect and really keeps the heat in and is durable. You could almost walk on it. Got a cover lifter and that just is the finishing touch for me as I can't lift thoses things up very well anymore. Cabinet I think is vinyl and the structure inside it is framed in strong steel. Insulated well also. Access door is held closed by screws. They don't want you getting in there and messing around with stuff so they make it more difficult to get in than just turning a key. Figure I'll call them if I ever do have a problem, I wouldn't know how to fix it anyway.
