I purchased the elite spa 8000 series in august 2009 at the Rhinebeck fair. Not a happy camper, took two months to get it. When it came in it was the wrong color, we had to wait another month for the right color, and still not sure if its right. They started us with chlorine chemicals when they were told allergic to them had to wait for the right chemicals which came with the new color panels. Ok so now supposedly we have the right color, which i DOUBT, but we cannot seem to get the thing to heat up properly. We keep it set on 98 degrees and it takes over an hour to heat up to 100 degrees and doesn't seem to want to go higher. Plus once it hits the hundred degrees if we get in it the temperature drops down two degrees so now we are right back to 98 degrees. The dealer says as long as its heating its working. Yea right. I advise no one to buy this spa. Do not like it. Do not think it is all its cracked up to be. :Have only had the spa since end of october Would love to hear from someone who has this model. Not sure what the electric bill will be like because sometimes we heat it for two hours hoping to get up to 102 degress and this is in temperatures outside of 60 degrees, can you imagine what it will be like when its 20 degrees out. Might as well forget using it. I can take hotter showers237:
