The Image spa by Icon was a cheaply made spa sold at a cheap price. Its not a surprise that you had issues but to say "I wouldn't buy another one of any brand" is unfair because with hot tubs it very often is a case of "you get what you pay for".

People wonder why a Hot Spring, Jacuzzi, ... costs much more than spa like Icon, Infinity, Keys and a lot of other now defunct cookie cutter spas that went though places like Costco and Home Depot and your story partially answers that.
