I bought a Gulf Coast Spa about two months ago, and I had it professionally installed about 6 weeks ago. Recently my wife and I noticed that it was leaking. We called Gulf Coast Spas and were told that they would not pay for someone to come out to identify the problem (I guess having water coming out the bottom of a new tub is not enough of a problem to get a free tech support out). I had to take off all the side panels of my tub and spent over an hour trying to identify the source of the leak. Needless to say I was NOT happy that after spending thousands of dollars, their idea of customer service is to have customers taking apart their tub to identify the problem.
Finally I did discover the problem (the motor was leaking), and I called Gulf Coast back. They informed me that they would ship the part to my house and CHARGE me for it (Oh, I would get the money back after I sent the defective part back). Then they shipped the part on Fed Ex ground taking it over 10 days to get here. Mind you that I have a brand new deck with water constantly sitting on it.
Bottom line is that this spa is okay, but the customer service is abhorrent. They do NOT stand behind their product, and they are more interested in saving themselves a couple bucks than helping out their customers. I will probably have hundreds of dollars of damage to my new deck because this company did not want to spend a few bucks to send a repairman out right away or overnight the part to me.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS SPA UNLESS YOU WANT TO DO ALL THE REPAIRS YOURSELF WITH NO HELP FROM THE COMPANY!!!!!
