We purchased our Beachcomber hot tub April 2008, so we've had it almost a year, and absolutely love it! We purchased it for relief for aches and pains mostly due to old age lol and for relaxation and pleasure. Our spa has been excellent in all of these areas. I've had a bad back for years that pains me continually but after I step out of that tub I don't have and ache or a pain anywhere. It's wonderful! We sleep great after an evening soak. We spend a lot more time with friends and family and everyone always has a good time relaxing and visiting. In the summer we turn the heat down to 100 so the grandbabies can go in and play.
We put our spa in a gazebo to ensure that we would use it year round and we certainly have. I think the novelty of sitting out in the snow would wear off quickly and clearing all the snow off to use it would be more trouble then we'd bother with. The gazebo was certainly the way to go for us.
"Does your spa live up to all expectations?" Yes in every way. We've had absolutely no problem with this spa, which is why we chose beachcomber. After reading many reviews on here we knew enough to stay away from Costco and Home Depot brands that push lots of bells and whistles. We are firm believers in "you get what you pay for", and in this case it's very true. Our spa was ready on time,(they actually had to wait for us) the service people we're excellent and always available to answer any question. They set up the spa quickly and stayed to give us training on the use of the spa and chemical. Very helpful.
"What accessories/options?" built in stereo, in tublighting, crome jets, foot massage, Dual pump system and hushpump, lift and store and upgraded cover (both a must),powerguard heatshield.
"What do you like best?" The tublighting is a must, and the hush pump, both very relaxing and enjoyable.
"Is there anything you don't like, and would not do again if had to do over?" The foot massage was not needed. It's extremely noisy and all other jets have to be off when this is use. We have used it twice. There are plently of other jets in the tub that can massage your feet just as efficeintly. The built in stereo....pros and cons for this. Extremely overpriced. (hubby had to have) PROS: very enjoyable to have the music in the tub. Waterproof remote is very convenient. It is much quieter being inside the tub then external speakers would be, therefore not annoying to the neighbours. CONS: again, overpriced car dock. Volume can not be very loud or sound is tinny and distorted, and this happens at quite a low volume. We probably should have had them back to look at that, we don't think it's a defect though. I'm sure it's simply because the tub itself is the speaker. There are really only 2 seats in the tub where you can lay your head back and hear the music clear and clean. It does play so everyone can hear it fine. Just not quaulity you'd expect for that kind of money. We can hook up external speakers as well but due to close proximity of neighbours we'll leave it as is. If we were not in a gazebo the sound we get from this setup would not be acceptable.
Overall, we are extremely pleased with Beachcomber and would recommend this tub to everyone. We were very please with every person we dealt with from sales to installation. We've had immediate response to all question and problems. I believe we had to have them back right after installation for something that was so small i can't even remember what it was. They were here the following day.
I hope this was helpful
