After waiting 6 wks for delivery, it came on October 17. The next day I found most of the water had drained out. Over tightened fittings had cracked. Then we found the drain had been glued in place and didn't work. The upgraded control panel malfunctioned and wouldn't stop running. We never got to use the first one. After begging, threatening, going to the BBB for both the Las Vegas dealer and Burboa Manufacturing in Fontana CA they agreed to replace the lemon. I took over 3 more weeks. And they couldn't get the color we wanted this time. Finally, two days before Thanksgiving we got the new one. It worked for about 2 weeks. It won't heat over 96 degrees now though the controls say it's 103.
About December 18 the local dearler/owner told me she would never give me service because I filed a BBB complaint. Call Burboa. So I did. I was told that unless I withdrew the BBB complaint, no service. I said I was suing, so he said he'd fix it. It's January 20, it isn't fixed. The parts are "in the mail."
I paid on 09-05-08. I have been in it exactly 6 times, that's all that it's been working. That's about $555 a soak. We got everything upgraded, and it's wimpy at best. Live and learn huh? The CalSpa I had in Kansas City wasa wonderful! Oh yeah, and the Islander Spa is a power hog. Yikes!! My Bill!
Islander Spa employees have made a habit of logging into sites like this and leaving good comments. Don't be fooled. And that advertised price? HAHAHAH try to get it.
