552/2005
In Response To: Bullfrog Spas ()

We decided to buy a spa because I suffer from degenerate disc disease in my back. After a lot of research on the net and a few "wet" tests we decided on Bullfrog model 552 for several reasons. First and foremost is that the "jetpacks" offer true hydrotherapy; some pump as much as 90 gallons a minute! The 552 model has two pumps and with the motor upgrade it produces 5 continuous HP. This means that each seat produces 1 HP. Some spas only have 1 HP for the entire spa. The second reason we decided on this model is that the design offers a flat surface for entry and exit. The third reason is Bullfrogs warranty; they offer one of the best in the business.

We have owned the spa for four months now and thus far we have been very pleased with the spa. Friends of ours who own other well known and more expensive brands prefer our Bullfrog.

As far as the "jetpack" go, be sure to pick a neck blaster, oscillator and the aleeV8. The wife’s favorite is the gyro sage, but I am a little disappointed in this one. We also have the mini cluster burst which we use in the second lounger as a cool down seat. I wish I would have exchanged the mini cluster burst for a pulsator. Bullfrog allows you to exchange any jetpack you don't like for two weeks after purchase.

A couple of accessories we feel are a must are the cover lifter and the power pump for draining the spa.

We have had one problem with our spa. The main control panel got moisture underneath it due to a poor seal and caused the connections to the circuit board to get damp. This caused the controls to not work properly. The dealer came out and dried out the connections and all is working fine now.
