V-400 (Victory Series) / 2004

Well, I said I'd post again later, to update. So far, the spa's been great. The only problem I've had is an occasionaly "FL" light flashing on the controls. When this happens, it shuts down spa control and heat. I called to complain, and they were very helpful. They told me to clean the filter to make it go away. I did and it went away. I felt a bit stupid for having not kept the filter cleaner. I did learn a couple of things though. There's a pressure sensor in a pipe when you open the cabinet (easy to spot). Sometimes these go bad and need to be replaced. Mine wasn't bad, but it can happen. Replacing it looked like something I could do myself in a few minutes. The other thing I learned, they didn't tell me. If the spa thinks your filter is all gunked up, which is causing bad pressure readings, you can use your hand to "plunge it" just like a toilet . You just put the palm of your hand on top of the plastic thing that floats above the skimmer, and push down gently a couple of times. That makes the "FL" light go away until you have time to clean the filter the right way... not sure you're supposed to do that, but it sure is convenient.
