Basically we love the Spa. The lights, the bubbles, the hot water.ahhh....I don't know how I could've gone to work the next day without it!
We 'inherited' the spa when we purchased our house, but it was only 6 mos old at the time. It was in pristine condition. Until this June. I got the dreaded FLO error. Nothing would resolve it. I finally found the dealer that sold it to the previous owners. Now the tub is 2 1/2 yrs old. The circulation pump has burned out , but because we are not 'the original owners' the warranty is not effective.
How disappointing. I speak to the sales manager and he says he will take care of it because the tub is only 2 1/2 yrs old. I wait a month for the repair guy to be able to find the time to drive the 50 miles to our place. I didn't mind waiting because the repair was 'under warranty'. I have been presented with a bill for $593.60. After I pulled myself off the ceiling and the floor at the same time, I wrote the cheque to the poor repair man who got the first volley of what I thought. I called the sales manager and he said that it turned out that he couldn't help me afterall. I wished that he had called me 5 wks ago or as soon as he found out because I would've replaced the pump myself for $150 and not had one of their employees waste their time and drive all the way out when there are 3 spa places within 5 min drive and I have business connections with Hydropool. I told him $600 was crazy. He just apologized.
Tip to future owners: read the small print, and find someone honest. As far as I can see Vita is the only major mfg who has a 'fantastic 5 yr' warranty that's 'Limited' by a simple twist in fate...
