Pacifica / 2002
In Response To: Calspas ()

We purchased our spa in January 2002 complete with a Five Year Warranty, which as a previous review said was "Bait & Switched" to a One year Warranty. In the time we have had it we are now on our second pump going south and NO assistance getting it repaired. The first time it took us 2 weeks of phone calls to get the local dealer to finally cover the repair out of his own store. Even then we were expected to pay a trip charge of I think $85.00
This Lynnwood Washington Dealer has NO customer service what so ever! They wont even return your phone calls once they know you have a problem.
I wouldn’t recommend a Cal Spa to anyone; I don’t care how nice the dealer is. The California company "Cal Ventures" that is supposed to back the warranty quickly has you read the fine print that reads: "This warranty excludes Majestic, Fiesta, "Special Spas" which only have a One year Warranty. My guess is they write "Special" on every invoice they write.
This company has no intentions of covering the Warranty.
We are going on 4 weeks without using our spa now. Mean while temperatures are down to freezing at night here in Washington. We have finally had to make the repair ourselves so we don’t wind up with additional problems due to freezing temperatures.
The novelty wears off quickly when your warranty does not cover repairs!
