Hot Tub and Spa

Vanguard / 2003
In Response To: Hot Springs Spas ()

After months of following this website and a few others I decided to look at a few of the top models, Hot Springs, Marquis and Dimension. I was very impressed with both Hot Springs and Marquis after my wet testing. I decided on the Vanguard based upon the Moto Massage feature which I really liked. I have owned the tub for a little over a year now and have been extremely happy with my tub. I decided on the white endural shell because the lighting system didn't work as well with any of the darker colored shells. Though now I really don't use the lighting feature very often, preferring to soak under the moonlight. I have been very happy with the shell and its maintenance. Because of using Vermonters dichlor system and watching to make sure that we dont introduce soaps or oils into the tub, the shell cleaning has been only necessary at water changes and then only very minimal cleaning is required. I opted for the ozonator(Everfresh system) and am not sure as to its effectiveness but I have had no problems so far with water clarity so I assume that it is helping. I love the moto massage jets even though I find myself moving around in the seat so that I can direct the jet to both sides of my back. I would have liked that they had more foot jets other than the 2 which are opposite of each other just above the floor. They are not designed to be used while sitting in the corners with the moto massage. I would have preferred a few more foot jets in different locations. I have had a few minor problems all related to the vinyl panels coming loose and my dealer has been fantastic with addressing these issues. The electric usage has been very reasonable only increasing my electric bill about $20 a month. I would definitely recommend this tub to anyone looking for a midsized tub.
