In Response To: Hot Springs Spas ()

I bought this spa used in July 2004 and it was about 18 months old. I did a lot of shopping around and really did like some other brands/models but this spa was a steal at $3400. It is Jade green in color and do wish it was one of the pearl colors (copper or the white) but i just couldnt beat the price. This spa has CD Ozone as well wich is worth a few hundred as an option. Since my spa is Jade color they didnt put in one of those cool color changing lights and i am forced (for now) to stay with the blue bulb.

Important things i noticed after using this spa:
-fantastic insulation, the small 24 hr circulation pump keeps the water heated in the midwest summer, my heater has only kicked on once (when i filled the tub). Its even still in the shade of my garage until we get the landscaping completed.
-jets are way more powerfull than i ever imagined, yet only a 1.65hp motor so note that when salesmen get on their motor HP lecture
-jets are very precision, not like some spas that just push water at you
-super quiet

Things i overlooked when buying used:
-electrical sub-panel (hot spring used a special one you have to get from them with a $250 price tag. I couldnt get the one from the previous owner because the house had already sold.. bummer
-This spa has no neck jets but you can get some massage if you sink down a little in a couple seats

I will update this when i have more time and get some more soaks under my belt, 3 weeks in operation and not a single cloudy water day. I use dichlor and like it a lot, about a teaspoon a day (i use it every night) and a shock once a week is all i had to do, my tap water has been loyal to me, thank goodness :)

Enjoy shopping, and if ya need a stack or two of brochures let me know hehe
