Cub 2005
In Response To: Arctic Spas ()

We purchased an artic spa in 2005 from the Artic Spa dealer located in Burnsville, Minnesota. We have had ongoing problems with the jet heads popping out in addition to a couple of other minor service calls for leaking. All of the work on our spa has been covered under the warranty and we have not been charged a service or travel charge. The beginning of the yearthe Burnsville store relocated to Dundas, Minnesota, 40 miles further away from us. Now our three year old spa has had a pump go out on it. We called for repair of this warranty item and were told that because the distance from your shop to our home is now 80 miles each way BECAUSE THE DEALER MOVED, we would be charged $175 for the "travel charge" for any warranty work on our spa. On checking with other service companies in our area we were told that a normal travel charge is $50. In fact, the $175 we are being charged for "travel" is just $15 less than the price I was quoted for travel and repair by another provider. And the "new" jets that they sent to us do not fit and we cannot install them.

Buy from someone else if you want warranty service.
