6 person (300?) Softub / 2006
In Response To: Softub ()

The 6 person tub can't possibly fit 6 adults. 4 maybe. With 4, the water splashes out of it, I can't imagine 6.

As far as I'm concerned, I bought a $4000 piece of crap! When we got it, a jet didn't work. It took us over 6 months, three replacement parts, and then me having to do the repair work myself before it finally worked.

After that, we did actually have about a year of good running out of it. Although the liner has faded, the exterior has faded, and no matter how much I get in and try to push out the creases in the bottom, there are 3 permanent creases in it. We've even tried the hair dryer trick with it.

But we just recently started to have problems again! We did the drain and fill like you are supposed to. Filled it up, and noticed a leak at the hoses. Tightened everything, and nothing. Had to empty the 300 gallons of water back out (and we're on water restrictions, and we pay for our water also!). Called up the vendor - Innovative Spas. The person there told me to take the pump apart and how to fix it. I tried to take it apart and ran into some difficulties, so I called them back and they told me that I voided the warranty by taking it apart and that I can never open it up, it can only be done by a certified repair person.

So I paid to ship it to them for repair. And then I paid for them to ship it back to me, supposedly repaired. Connected it again, filled the tub with 300 gallons of water - AGAIN - and plugged it in. Nothing. No power to the unit. It worked when I sent it, it didn't work now. Tried another outlet, checked my outlet for power, everything on my end was fine. Pump didn't work. Called Innovative, who told me I would have to pay to ship it back to them. WHAT?? So I talked to Softub. They sent me a label to send it to Innovative. Of course it took 3 weeks to get the label. Sent it to Innovative. Now they are telling me I am out of my warranty period and that I have to pay $275, plus the cost of the shipping back to me AGAIN! It was in warranty the first time I sent it, but they told me I must have done something to it b/c it worked fine when it left there, and that therefore since it was two different problems this time it isn't covered. Of course, yesterday the service person told me that the leak probably caused the power shortage - my GFI pack had blown and had to be replaced.

So, I'm pissed. I've wasted 600 gallons of water, and that has cost me. I have had to pay to buy the box to ship it in, and then ship the darn thing there, back, and then back again. And now I have to pay for this service also, or they are refusing to send my pump back to me. Softubs suck!! And so does Innovative Spas!!
