I purchased this spa in the summer of 2005 and it has broken every year. The first year the spa kept over heating during the winter and I had to keep turning the power to the spa off when it overheated and then on when it cooled down enough so it wouldn't freeze in the middle of the winter until a repair person could get to us. The next year when I cleaned and re-filled it the unit wouldn't turn on and I needed a service call and now going into the third season I have cleaned and filled the spa only to have the jets not turn on once again needing a service call. (This is in addition to at least two recalls). When I called cal-spa to complain I was told that this was between me and my dealer and there was nothing they could do. They also told me that they could not tell me how many times a normal spa would need service. The service person I spoke to would not even transfer me to a manager. If you have a choice don't buy a cal-spa and if you do - don't expect it to work.
