Hi, my name is nick and I live in the National Capital Area, Canada. I purchased a new Artesian Piper Glen Spa back in August 2007. After trying other models (Sundance, Northwind, CalSpa, Beachcomber)prior to my purchase, I can honestly say that I am very pleased with my choice, give or take a few issues. I realy enjoy the multiple jets and sitting configurations and also love the fact that you can control the pumps directly from your seat and adjust the flow/pressure. This spa comes with so many features and is so easy to clean, easy to fill, very litte maintenance required, all this to say that it's a great spa.
Now here are the issues;
After a month of regular usage, approx twice a week, the spa stopped working and error messages started showing. Apparently the spa micro-fiber filter got clogged and caused this problem. Now after contacting the service people, I was informed that this particular filter reacts very badly to well water. So we had to replace it with a regular filter until Artesian addresses the problem. Also, after a few days, I realized that one of the pumps was acting weirdly, we could not adjust the flow/pressure, it would always be at the maximum capacity. Now this is still an issue, but comes and goes (Service Call in to resseller). So to add more of these little things, I had to jam the filter door to stop from sticking and stopping the water circulation into the filter bay. I was told that this also is being addressed by Artesian. Now recently I have noticed 2 other small issues and which I have yet to report to my resseller, but will very shortly and that is one of the power button to start pump number one is no longer lit up and the seat number 4 head rest keep from poping out.
Although these are all small issues and can easily be repaired, it is still somewhat frustrating to pay over $13k and have problems. But regardless, I would not trade it in for anything, we truely enjoy our Artesian spa and would strongly recommend it to anyone. Someone once mentioned to me that this was the cadilac of spas and now that I own one, I completely agree.
Thank you kindly,
Nick
