Were do I start.

The wife really wanted a hot tub so we stopped by the hot tub shop, and just by chance they had a huge sale going on so we ended up making a split decision and purchased this hot tub. What a HUGE mistake.

First of all upon delivery they set the tub down and left. When the electrician came to hook up the tub we found out they set the tub down to close to over head power line so problem number one.

Second after I rounded up 6 guys to help move this hot tub away from the power lines everything was hooked up and we thought we were in the money.

So after everything was all setup both the radio and the lights didn't work. Tech guys came out said the last 20 they sold all had the same problem. They messed with it for an hour and then said they would have to order parts. (NOTE: we still do not have working lights or radio)

That is when things turned bad. We started to have issue's with the hot tub tripping the breaker after the 15min cycle would shut the tub off.

After 6 service calls nothing has changed and we still have issue's. The only thing the dealer keeps saying is our electrician is an idiot and wants us to pay to have his electrician come in and fix the electrical.

I know for a fact the electrical is note to blame. To be able to install my hot tub I had to have 200 amp service installed by a licensed electrician and it has passed inspection with flying colors for both the service upgrade and hot tub hookup.

SO I would have to say never ever buy a hot tub from calspa we have learned our lesson.

The only thing that is saving us from having a 8k planter in our back yard is that we paid for the hot tub with a credit card and we are in the process of getting our money back.

So with that we have decided as soon as we get the legal action brought on by the calspa dealer taken care of, we are going to be purchasing a Caldera spa and paying a few thousand more but have found out you really do get what you pay for.

So for your own sake save your money spend a few thousand more and purchase a spa from a company that has a better reputation then calspa. As far as I can say is that Calspa sells really nice looking tubs to draw people in to buy them, but once you take a look how they are built you will be sorry you even thought about purchasing a tub from Calspa.
