Avalanche Signature/2006
In Response To: Arctic Spas ()

We decided to purchase a spa to help relieve my husband's arthritic pain and for the sheer enjoyment of relaxing after a stressful day at work. We've owned our Artic Spa for 8 months and so far it has lived up to all our expectations. We have had no quality problems whatsoever. We purchased our spa in late October 2006 and after about 6 weeks, discovered that my husband was alergic to the bromine. So, in mid-December we installed the Arctic Spas Salt Water System. This was the best decision we could have made. This system is AWESOME! The water is so soft, crystal clear, doesn't dry your skin and is virtually odourless. No more toxic chemicals to handle (chlorine/bromine pucks.)

The "forever floor" is another feature I wouldn't do without. It gives you peace of mind that no "critters" can chew their way through the bottom of your tub. Plus, this floor will sit on anything, decking, gravel, lawn, etc.

The Avalance has enough seating for 8, but I personally love the face-to-face loungers and love seat. The "captain's" chair is a little too deep for me and the jets quite powerful, but it's my husband's favourite seat. There is plenty of variety, space and leg room for everyone. When I am hot tubbing alone, I love to curl up in the loveseat and stare up at the stars. We have the Signature series with 33 jets and two pumps, which is plenty for us.

If I had to "do it all over" again, the only thing I might change would be the shell colour. It was a difficult decision to chose a colour and I chose a basic grey, when maybe I could have chosen a more vibrant colour. However, the blue light does look nice against the grey shell - so there you go.

All in all, I love my Arctic Spa. The guys in the Kitchener store are great and are always friendly, efficient and helpful when we have any questions (it took me a while to get on to the water balancing - but I've got it now!).

I'd recommend this spa to anyone. This past winter was my first at hot tubbing and I'm now an addict.
