Why did you decide to get a spa? Because my wife wanted one - enough said.
Does your spa live up to all expectations?
The spa has become a great addition to our backyard deck area. We use it year around and enjoy every minute were in it.
How long have you owned your spa?
1 year now
What accessories/options, beyond the "basic spa" does, your spa have?
56 Jet, 2 6.5 HP Pumps, DynaBright LED Light System, Ozonator, 24 Hr Circ Pump.
What do you like best?
The DynaBright LED light system is definately worth the extra money. This light system offers over 10 light configurations that can set moods for fun, relaxation or romance. I also like the power of the jets.
Is there anything about your spa you don't like?
I don't like the quality of the jets that came with the tub. Please see details below.
What might you change if you had to "do it all over"?
I would probably get the 62 Jet version with the 3 pumps.
Is there anything you're sorry you left out?
Nope
Are there any features you now feel aren't necessary?
Nope
Have you encountered any problems, and if so, how were they resolved?
I have had three problems with my Grand Bahama. The first was the tabs on the jets kept breaking. After some searching on this site, it was mentioned that there was a manufacture's defect and that the material used was causing the tabs to be brittle and break. I contacted Artesian via email and they supported the notion of the defective jets. I then took the email to my dealer (American Sale) and they ordered me all new jets. (Its actually not the entire jet, but the white plastic backing of the jets.) I have been replacing these jet backs as they have been breaking. I was told by Artesian that their jet supplier has since corrected the problem. I have verified this since none of the new jets that I have replaced have broken yet.
The second problem was observed when we attempted to fit 6 adults in the tub at the same time. As the water level rose, it submerged the control panel and the tub tripped the GFCI and I couldn't get it to come back on. It turns out that water had leaked in from around the control panel at the top and shorted the electrical control panel within the cabinet. After it dried, I was able to turn it back on the following day. It was serviced by re-siliconing the top and bottom of the control panel.
The last problem was a leak. This again, was a known issue by my dealer. It turns out that the lens in the bottom of the footwell for the LED lights was installed too tight which caused a crack, and thus the leak. The replaced the lens and I have had no other problems so far.
All in all, this is a great tub for the money, and aside from my issues, I (and most importantly, my wife) are very happy with it.
