I set my Helios spa up October 1st so I've been using it for three months now. I bought it because I have sciatica and arthritis, so I thought it would be benificial to my health aside from the fact that I love the feeling of being in a spa. I bought a "standard" spa (just under 8 feet square) but wish I'd waited a little longer because they had a "sale" where the fancy lights were thrown in for free a month or so after I bought. I like the additional depth (40 inches) of the Coast Spas (I sat in quite a few brands before buying) making seating comfortable and full body coverage within the water. It's got two 5 HP pumps and 45 jets, (which is fine with me) and seems very well-made. I like the fact that each seat has a slightly different configuration and height so that the various differences in peoples' shapes or sizes can be accomodated. I like the fact that it has a bottom floor drain so that all the water can easily be drained when changing it every three months. I sometimes think I could have gotten by with the smaller (7 feet square) "Paradise" when I'm in it so much by myself. But as soon as I have friends over and I see how much more room it has (especially leg & foot room) I'm glad I got a larger one. Only a few minor problems (rotating jet not rotating) but quickly taken care of (fixed or replaced) by my dealer.
I am currently having a problem with a skin rash that I'm attributing to the bromine sanitizer (not the spa) and my frequent use (I'm in it nearly every day & sometimes twice a day.) I'm looking into alternative sanitizers like the Natural & will keep this site posted on what I find in this regard.
