2005 Windsor SE

As of July 2006 we’ve had our Master spa for one year. We bought the 2005 Windsor SE which is actually made by Down East spas but sold/distributed by Master Spas. We love the spa but do not like the dealer. We live in Van Nuys California and the only dealer for Los Angles and Orange County is in Laguna Hills. About 3 weeks after delivery we had problems with one speaking staying up (not locking in the down position) and 3 out of 4 headrests kept popping off and floating around.

It didn’t matter what day of the week or what time we would call the dealer because all we ever got was an answering machine. I left several messages for service and they wouldn’t even return/acknowledge my calls until I would threaten to complain to Master Spas Inc. The excuse I would get was that they were understaffed and training new personal to help the situation. It took 2 entire months for them to show up at my house and fix the problems....2 MONTHS!

We would’ve seriously considered buying another brand if we had known the dealer support was going to be so terrible. We bought the spa while at a home show, apparently this is how they sell the majority of their spas, and the feeling I got after this experience is all they cared about was getting my money up-front and who cares what happens after that. It seems like the Master Spa dealer in Laguna hills wants to sell you a spa but doesn’t want to have to repair it or help you with customer services afterwards. In fact they stopped selling the filters for the spas they sell, its all outsourced now to a different company...I guess it was just too much of a hassle for them. Oh and be prepared to shell out a lot of money to replace the Patented filters, $200 for the set of 4 which is about 3 - 4 times the cost of other spas.

Overall we love our spa, even with a couple of glitches in the beginning, the spa is beautiful, we love the lights and the stereo is amazingly loud. It’s very well built and a quality spa, I just wish I could say the same for the dealer.
