LX 11000 / 2006

We decided to upgrade from a small, portable SofTub spa, which we enjoyed very much, to a full sized spa when the SofTub broke. We had bought the SofTub used from a friend, really just to be sure we would use a spa before spending thousands of dollars on a big one... well, in the 3 years we had it it was used an average of 3 - 4 times a week, every week, so it was time to upgrade. Being a techno-geek I spent a lot of time on the internet checking out spas, manufacturers and especially owner reviews. We wanted a powerful model with enough hydro-therapy jets to help with Mom's arthritis and bad back and big enough to sit all 6 of us when we wanted it to. The LX 11000 was much more spa than I thought I would be able to get for what I wanted to spend and I am just thrilled with it! We've had it for just over 3 months now and it gets used at least daily, most days twice between Mom, my wife and I and our 3 teenagers AND WE LOVE IT!!!! The only extra that I bought was a multi-colored light, which is nice, but the 11000 came with everything else I could have wanted... 67 jets, 3 motors, ozonator, manifold plumbing, I could really go on and on. I can't say that there is anything about the spa that I don't like, nothing I would change if I did it over again and the only feature we don't use is the waterfall, but that didn't cost extra anyway. One point I really feel strongly about, and a big point in Gulf Coast's favor when I was comparing it is the warranty (outstanding) and the 27/7 tech support by telephone. Two weeks after having it delivered I had a problem with one of the motors, I kept getting an error on the control panel and had to reset it multiple times. I tried everything in the troubleshooting section of the manual but nothing worked so I called tech support about 10:00 PM on a Thursday night. The technician was very nice and really knew what they were talking about, not just reading pat answers to me from a book. After walking me thru what was happening and having me try a few tests, it turned out to be user error (I had let the water level get too low), she explained how to keep the level correct and how to reset everything and made sure that I would call back if it didn't work. I have not had a problem since and I was very impressed with the service I received.
