bought the tub from sunquest spas from orlando florida from kevin haagenson whos card read half price spas. but the invoice for the tub was sunquest paid $3600 for the spa and was told it would take 2 weeks for delivery. the sat. it was to be delivered came and we waited all day for the delivery no one came so we called kevin to find out what happened to our spa. comes to find out our spa had a crack in it so they say.. i asked kevin why he didnt call he didnt give me a answer but changed the subject fast and said if we change the color he could have it delived on monday. monday comes around still no tub i call keven and he tells me the filter assm. was not in and could not deliver that day. he said he would deliver on tuesday. tuesday comes no spa i call keven and carol his mother answers the phone and tells me keven is in texas on business so i ask her where is our spa and she gives me the number from the manufacture of the tub, sunquest spas of lakeland florida and talk to butch i call the number and they answer lakeland manufacturing. I talk to butch and he tells me it will be delivered the next day in the am. i waited till noon and called butch, where is my tub, he said we got backed up and will deliver later on that day, i told him i had to go to work and he said can you be late for work,i said no, deliver it early thursday ,he said ok. thursday morning 9:00am my tub shows up the guy pushes the tub off the side of the trailer on to two pieces of pvc pipe that he uses to move the tub. he pushes the tub in to place and i start looking at this spa.. it has big chunks taking out of the top of the spa two different places i say to the guy what is this oh we can buff that out,i said no way it is a 1-4th of a inch down,and the tub looks used he said it isnt used it is just dirty. i said to him what are you giong to do with the spa he said nothing you have to call the plant i am just the sub-contractor. I ask him where the $250 cover is and the head rests he says it is in orlando and the rests are on back order. so i call the plant and butch says he will send a guy to buff it out on sat. and will bring the covers and hangs up. I call back and no answer all day. I call all day friday and no one anwsers the phone, i call keven carol answers and she said they are backed up at the plant and cant answer the phone. i call carol 4 more times to find out what is going on and see tell me to stop calling her im using up all her cell phone minutes!! what?? it was kevens number.. she hangs up and turns off her phone. sat. i call her number and it says it was temp. disconnected. im starting to worry now.. sunday me and the wife drive to lakeland a hour away to see if we can find the plant, dont know what for but we do.. we get to the address and to our supprise it is a house with a couple of shacks around it a mexican guy is in the drive way and cant speak any english points to the house. a long haired grease ball in his socks comes out and my wife saids we are looking for the owner. he says thats me donny. my wife saids we are the stumps keven sold us a spa and its a piece of crap. he looks at us like he doesnt know whats going on. I look at him like im going to shove his head in one of the spas in the yard that are filled with rain water. he now remembers us and said there was a mix up and the driver was not to deliver us that tub,it was messed up. my wife starts drilling him about the hole thing and he starts spilling his gutts about keven running off to texas with the money for the spa and that keven owns half price spas and he was thinking of going bankrupt that he was running it into the ground and carol owns sunquest spas she is the one that owns the business. my wife asked donny if it was just him and butch that made the spas he said no he has 4 generations of mexicans working for him building these spas he pays them piece rate and takes them to western union every week so that they can send money back home. folks im not making this up this retard told us all of this. why? i dont know. anyway he said in the end that he will send out a spa on sat. today is wed. do i think a spa will show up on sat.???nope but for his sake it better. The spa that is in our yard has lost 3 inches of water since sat. and has kicked the breaker to the spa. the bbb of orlando has 4 complants on sunquest spas and 1 on half price spas, check it out at bbb of orlando. do not buy from these people they act like they are a big spa manufacture but they are not. its a big front to ripe people off.
