decided I needed a spa since I was diagnosed with Scleroderma over a year ago. I'm 39, married with 3 children, 13, 10 & 6.

We wet tested a Jacuzzi (I think a 356? I kept floating up out of the seats) and a Sweetwater Bahia (the value brand of Sundance I'm told - loved the footwell in the middle of the tub)at the end of January, and almost bought the Bahia (floor model with stereo - hubby was sold just thinking he could have yet another remote). We came back the next day and wet tested a Sundance Marin. The difference to me was amazing. I was sold. We didn't bargain the price - didn't know you could, so that was one thing I'd do over.

The dealer "threw in" the UV ozonator and a locking spa cover, however upon delivery, the "locks" were attached to the cover straps and no keys nor hardware was included to attach the locks to the spa. (I don't mind attaching the locks myself, but I'd like the hardware to be included!)

The selling point for me for this spa was the lounge seat and jets. I like the fact that you can manipulate the oscillating jets in the lounge seat. I'm not crazy about the accusage seat - those jets I can't really manipulate, and I find the massage a little to rough. You can divert the flow to other jets, but I haven't found anything comfortable in that seat yet. The seat right next to the lounge seat is almost as good as the lounge seat! It has very powerful calf jets, and pulsating foot jets. Nirvana.

My only thing I wish I did over was to not get the "BaquaSpa" that was included for the starter kit. I had a choice between that and the Nature2 system, and since I had no clue, I asked the dealer what he recommended (can you say "stupid"? - so of course he suggested the BaquaSpa). I only found out on these boards that it is an aftermarket ploy type thing, and that "regular" chemicals work just as well. So, if I could do it again, I'd do the Nature2 or dichlor - and I probably will switch when it comes time to drain the spa and clean it out.

Other than that...no problems, and I love it. We've only had it 3 days so far, and have only had it hooked up for less than 24hrs. we jumped in it last night when the heat finally hit 96 (kids jumped in at 90), and this morning the temp is finally where it should be (and the kids are already in the spa). The one thing I want SOON is a cover slide. We have plenty of room behind the spa to slide the cover on to. I'll update more when I've had it a week or so.
