Kona / 2002

The Kona Spa was purchased in 2002. Unit has about 40 jets with a waterfall feature. The waterfall is great, so are the four volcano jets for your feet. One two-speed pump and one one-speed pump. No blower and 5.5 KW heater. Unit works great when it works. The spa was easy to wire with 50 amp GFI breaker. Early in 2003 the unit did not operate properly. Mid-Iowa spas sent a new spa pack which I had to install myself and new topside control. Good news is it was under warranty. Unit does not heat now, and since it's out of warranty, Mid-Iowa does not seem very helpful. Not returning phone calls, no parts available, another guy handles his service now (New service guy wants $1800 to replace topside and control pak again (I can buy parts $400 online). I'll probably replace the whole spa pak myself since I can't find any local service. |
