Landmark / 2001

In Response To: Hot Springs Spas (-)

We have had our Landmark for three years and love it. One Hotspring dealer 50 min. away and one 1 1/2 hr. away. Farther dealer had price $600 cheaper but I was warned by closer dealer service not good. After purchase, they wanted nothing to do with me! Just a warning that price is not all you should look for.
Problems: broken check valve on the ozonator connection. Found this with info. from Docs board. (No help from dealer). Easy to replace.
It came with a Freshwater II ozonater that quit working after 13 months. One month past warrenty. Would have cost $400 to replace. Dealer said they only average 14-18 month lifespan!! I purchased a Del Eclipse ozonater where you can replace the chip once a year.
Otherwise, problem free for over three years. I love all the different seating options and jets. Lounge with moto-massage my favorite.
We live in WV mountains and have fairly cold winters. Seems very energy efficient. Electric bill seems to only go up $10 in winter months.
We have ozonater, Nature2, and dichlor as our sanitizer. We put 1 1/2 tsp. dichlor in after each use and 3Tbls. per week for shock. Stared out using MPS but had trouble keeping water clear. I have used this routine for over 2 yrs. and water stays clear.
During summer months it is used only about twice a week but from Sept. to June it is everyday! Hot Spring has since discontinued this specific model. But replacement model is similar.
