I purchsed a cape haze hot tub in the fall of 2005,here is a list of problems
1. the setup was done and the tub filled and it started to leak as it got to the prescribed level, turns out that one of the main hoses was not hooked up properly,I eneded up with about 150 gallons of water all over my deck and below before we could get the side panels off to find the problem, after we found the loose hose I had to drain the tub back down below the level of this main hose until the service guy could come out and fix it. 2.once the service guy fixed the major leak I filled the tub up and let it heat up to the desired temp and got in,I turned on the pump and found out that 4 jets were not working, since it was late fall and the service guy was very busy I agreed to wait until spring 2006 to get the 4 jets fixed,he did come out in late april and he fixed the jets 3. the manual says to change water every 3 months or so,anyway after 3 months I turned off the breakers and drained the tub, cleaned it out and refilled it,when we turned on the breakers the gri breaker would not come on,I knew it was that one as I took a meter and checked to see I had power up to the breaker but not past it,I called the electrician who wired the tub and he came and put a new breaker in,the tub worked fine but the same thing happened again when I went thru the draining procedure 3 months later, the electrician came out again and replaced the breaker at his cost,he told me he would not do that again as the his wiring is just fine. I have checked the power consumption and it is way below the power limit for the breaker, the current I read was 36amps.
sincerely, paul hedlund
