I've owned 2 spas a total of 14 years. The first, a cheap model of Bubbling Spas, marketed as Esther Williams. Bought for 2200 in 1993 on a whim as a close out model. No research whatsover. My buddy said "go for it" and I did..lol Worked fine a lot of years. Replaced various hi limit switches, heaters, a pump at about 9 years. Parts a little hard to get. Got a little expensive to fix in the end. Finally retired her after 11 yrs. Overall a great investment since I've used religiously 3x per week. More than got my monies worth.

After visiting various dealers and home shows looking at some really nice product. I was having a hard time figuring why I should be considering a 7500 to 10k tub. Especially since I had a tub with 5 very basic jets and a lounger for 11 years and it was great.

I ended up purchasing an "Elegante" Model, made by Reflections Spas. (DM industries.ltd)for around 5 grand.I've had for 2 1/2 years. It's been a decent tub so far. it holds 375 Gallon,30plus jets and lots of adjustments possible, 2 multi stage motors,a waterfall,an ozonator. It's a value priced spa and has a nice amount of features for those dollars. Up until last week, it's operated perfectly. Some bromine, regular water changes, and filter cleaning, and good to go.

We had a recent cold snap,(Pa,Phila suburbs) and my heater just stopped working. Had a tech out from Niagara Pools and spas on friday. He assured me that the particular heater in this model has been updated, as they've seen a few problems with the same one. He said they switched to a lower voltage heater in subsequent models of this tub that have corrected the problem. The dealer is ordering me an updated lower voltage heating unit. Luckily I'm within my 3 years parts warranty so hopefully, that will mean something good to the final bill when it gets fixed next week. I'm not happy about a heater expiring within 3 years of ownership. I realize things can be defective. Hopefully they fix it and stand behind their product. If not, I will let you know.

Happy soaking! (I will be again soon)
