Wow, what a Tub! I now know why all the local dealers say not to buy it. Its because they are missing out on their $3-$5,000.00 profit on my sale. This tub has everthing and works like a dream. I am currently burning cd's to play in its sound system while I relax with the waterfall feature comforting me.
I followed the instructions about filling it up through one of the filters holes. No problems at all. Start up was a per manual and away it started heating and I was tub'n the next evening. I added a 8' x 8' gazebo from costco for 500.00 cdn, bought a few cedar lattices on three sides and chillin nicely.
Customer service has been above par with exception of being cut off by accident at 5 pm their time, must have had to get home to the kids!!! Seems like they have a front end customer service staff that likes to help but with technical questions I politely ask to speak to one of the more technical dudes about a more detailed question and response. The current manual with the unit and online doesn't show how to get into the 3 operating modes. But they are changing that as we speak.
I usually find these kind of things missing in manuals and make waves, its the only way they will know about it and make all the customers happy. By the way, you hold down the mode button and use the arrow keys to go throught the 3 modes.
I think costco could do more to promote this product in their stores. It has so many features. The light actually has different colours to it and can strobe through them all. Kind of a dizzy effect after awhile.
ONE of the BEST features for me of this tub was that I can run it on a 30 amp line. There is a dip switch in the control panel that you can select between a 30 amp mode and the normal shipped as 50 amp mode. I only have 30 amps available to me right now so I changed the dip switch and I was running. In 30 amp mode, the 1/6 hp heater circ pump runs all the time. The ozonator runs all the time on this as well and the heater cycles on and off as needed. When pump one is on low, the heater will continue to run, But if pump one is on high or pump two is turned on (it is only a high speed pump) then the heater is turned off. The heater kicks back in about one minute after the high speed setting of pumps are turned off. This works great for me since I dont like to much pump action all the time, (I mean of the Jets)!
Well thats my idea of this unit.
Hope this helps.
Give me a shout with any questions or concerns.
I like it!
