Ok my understanding is the "chlorine" smell is from used chlorine (chloramines), and that this is gotten rid of with MPS. I don't understand why i have a heavy chlorine smell around my spa, i only use chlorine once/week as a weekly super shock (1tbsp in 400gal tub) and i use mps daily, my mps residual is in the "mid/high" range on the test strips and my free chlorine is "low" my hope was that i would be able to avoid this smell with this setup but apparently the mps isn't oxidizing the chlorine fast enough ? (i also have nature2).
What can i do about this ? My spa is in my basement and even with high air flow to the outside the smell spreads to my house. The only thing i can think of is to try running 2 nature 2's at the same time, would this elimianate the need for chlorine ? Just use 2xnature2 and MPS ?
