Caldera Monarch CD Ozone system question

I purchased my Caldera Tahitian spa in Aug 2002. How can I tell if the ozone system is still working properly? I've read that there is a light on some to tell if they are working but I don't see a light. Is there a test strip that I can use? How long can I expect the system to last? I really don't want to replace the system if it's not needed. Up until now, all chemical checks are OK. Winter is coming soon to the Chicago area and I don't want to deal with this in below zero weather and/or snow.
