In Response To: Cleaning an Unused Hot Tub ()

: Hello,
: I have a hot tub that has been unused for more
: than a year. It also has old water in it
: along with mold and algae. How do I clean it
: so that it can be used again?

: Thanks
: Deptroy
Drain it with a pump Pick up all debris outta tub I usually Open the unions on the Silver tube heater assy And bend the hoses a lil so waters going Toward ground Then I push water thru the Floor drains and out thru heater to ground it goes Reconnect unions Now I use a Very Mild Dilution of a Tilex type solution I wet rag it twice and dry rag it once And start filling thru skimmer At full I add 3 oz of dichlor and leave cover off for 2 Hrs But Tub on and heating 2 hrs apply cover and smell should be pretty Norm..
