: Hi, I'm a fairly new hot tub owner and was
: looking for some solutions to my scum
: problem. Here are the details: When we
: bought our hot tub we were told to use
: Granulated chlorine and a Clarifier once a
: week, which we do. We also use OxyBrite
: shock after each use and always check the PH
: once a week to make sure its correct.
: Every time we get in the hot tub, there are
: yellow/brown scum lines on sides and near
: the filters. When the jets start up, bubbles
: filled with scum yucky stuff start floating
: around. Help! Can you tell me what I am
: doing wrong? After reading the Chemicals
: page, I fear I may be using too much
: Clarifier which may be the reason for the
: brown scum. Any other suggestions to my
: problem? Thank you!
