The small pictures, taken so close up, make it nearly impossible to tell what's going on. How old is the cover?

: these places are on the hinge, both sides, and under the handle. none of
: these seem to be damage from misuse etc. in my opinion. the hinge
: wear is where the cover folds in half. how could it be misuse? the
: one under the handle, is where the flaps meets. ive never even
: touched that area.

: the other complaints are the hinge-handles inside the cover. they ripped
: off after 3 or 4 months. the last item is regarding the mylar lining
: of the cover, which is supposed to help insulate the tub. none of my
: other covers had this feature. they just had vinyl covering the
: underside of the cover. neither of those 2 covers failed in that
: area. this one did. i was told it was because my chlorine levels were
: kept too high. (i was never told til after i reported the damage that
: high chlorine levels would blister the mylar.) the mylar blistered
: over the whole area. i would never order that feature again because
: of that reason.

: anyway, these pictures are the reason i wouldnt purchase this particular
: cover again.
