ooops...ph wound up at 7.5 not .5 and Vinny is right, you gotta use a lot more chlorine that you indicated....at least a teaspoon when you get out after tubbing..and maybe even more..you have to test to find out...and if you don't go in it every day, get out there and check it to make certain you have a decent level of sanitation for safety's sake...

I always felt that the accu check test strips were doing a decent enough job that were okay for me...but this new fella, Bob, taught me how to use the Taylor Kit I bought from him last summer...and I cannot believe how wrong three different brands of test strips I had in the house were...they were all over the board...but none of them accurate...my problems were due to reading and trusting them...I had an AK of 60 and their greens looked right on the money...and he saw my PH was in the 6. areas and they read "gawgeous, perfect"...and that's why my water turned a smarmy green color...and you better believe I am happy I had enough brains to stay out of the thing this whole past month...

So now I am a believer...you guys who have claimed Taylor was the way to go are right...and I have paid the price for thinking the easy way was as good as the precise one...
