John,
Thanks again.
Finally got a response from the motor rebuilding shop.
They say it is not rebuildable as the rear bearing is the problem, and they are unable to replace that.
As to the type of motor I need, my old motor says "Ultrajet" on it.
How do I tell if I need an Aquaflo or a Vico?
Also, any suggestions on where to purchase a new one?
thanks again,
Jim
: Look around for a motor rebuilding shop in your area. Let them determine
: if the motor is rebuildable or not. It really depends on how badly
: damaged it is. Have them replace the pump seals if they do rebuild
: the motor. If the motor is not rebuildable, you will need the
: complete pump/motor with the attached heat exchanger from a Softub
: dealer. Be sure to specify whether you have the Aquaflo pump or the
: Vico pump.
