I knew the price you were quoted was too good to be true. It was cheaper than what I pay on the wholesale level for a new unit. Well, at least now you know what you would be getting for your money. It sounds like the motor is rebuilt. There is nothing wrong with a rebuilt motor, as long as it is done well.

At this point, I think it would be cheaper to rebuild your current motor, assuming that it is not beyond repair. Have your motor rebuilt and replace the pump seals.
